We love this beautifully designed banquette seating area from a recently completed project in the Cotswolds.

Painted in the sophisticated Farrow & Ball shade ‘Pigeon’, it adds a touch of understated elegance while providing a functional and inviting seating for our client.

Banquette seating is a fantastic way to maximise space and create a cosy hub for meals and gatherings.

Design Tip: When planning your banquette seating, remember that the ideal seat height is typically between 450mm and 500mm, matching standard dining chairs for comfort. It’s crucial that you factor in the height of your banquette cushion when taking your measurements!!

We’re excited to share a glimpse inside one of our recent transformations – a stunning three-storey stone barn nestled at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment in Worcestershire. This newly converted property, while structurally beautiful, felt a little bland with its initial developer’s finish.

Our delightful clients, a lovely couple new to the area, were eager to infuse their new home with warmth, personality, and a connection to the breathtaking local landscape. Inspired by the natural hues of the Cotswolds, our brief was to create a comfortable and inviting space, complete with a dedicated office area.

Our approach involved a complete interior overhaul. We focused on colour and texture throughout the three floors, replacing existing hardware with more characterful finishes, and implementing a thoughtful lighting scheme to create different moods. From top to bottom, we carefully selected furniture and decor to complement the barn’s architectural features and reflect our clients’ personal style.

The result? A charmless space transformed into a welcoming and stylish home that truly embraces its stunning surroundings. It was a joy working with such enthusiastic clients to bring their vision to life!

We recently had the pleasure of working on a proje

We recently had the pleasure of working on a project we affectionately named “The Tiny Townhouse” nestled in a picturesque Cotswold market town — our mission was to transform it into a cosy retreat for a young family of four.

The family, who spends most of their time working abroad, wanted a comfortable and stylish bolthole in the UK for their holidays. They also planned to use the property as a holiday rental when they weren’t there.

Our clients were keen to keep the renovation costs down, so we focused on making the most of the existing features. We discovered beautiful old pine floorboards hidden beneath the carpets, which we sanded and sealed to create a warm and inviting base for the new decor.

The open-plan ground floor was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to create distinct zones for dining, entertaining, and relaxing. We even squeezed in a small island in the kitchen, which was a must-have for our clients.

We aimed for a calm and neutral color palette throughout the house, using natural materials and textures to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The result is a beautiful and functional space that is perfect for both family holidays and holiday rentals.

We’re thrilled with how “The Tiny Townhouse” turned out, and we hope our clients enjoy many happy memories there.

Every year, we make a pilgrimage to @decorex_inter

Every year, we make a pilgrimage to @decorex_international the interior design event that transforms London’s Olympia into a haven of inspiration. This year, the show was bursting with terracotta hues, pattern, and texture.

As always, we timed our visit for the Sunday, when the crowds are slightly thinner, allowing us to savor each stand and truly appreciate the creativity on display. One of our highlights was the new Craftsmakers entrance, which showcased a curated selection of talented artisans and their unique creations.

We were particularly drawn to the warm, earthy color palette that dominated the show. Intricate designs and artisanal craftsmanship were everywhere, but the Lewis and Wood stand truly stole the show. Their collection of wallpapers and fabrics was a masterclass in pattern and texture.

From statement lighting fixtures to bespoke furniture and luxurious textiles, Decorex 2024 had something to inspire every interior design enthusiast. Whether you’re looking for the latest trends or simply seeking a dose of creative inspiration, this event is a must-visit.

We’re excited to share a glimpse inside one of our recent transformations – a stunning three-storey stone barn nestled at the foot of the Cotswold escarpment in Worcestershire. This newly converted property, while structurally beautiful, felt a little bland with its initial developer’s finish.

Our delightful clients, a lovely couple new to the area, were eager to infuse their new home with warmth, personality, and a connection to the breathtaking local landscape. Inspired by the natural hues of the Cotswolds, our brief was to create a comfortable and inviting space, complete with a dedicated office area.

Our approach involved a complete interior overhaul. We focused on colour and texture throughout the three floors, replacing existing hardware with more characterful finishes, and implementing a thoughtful lighting scheme to create different moods. From top to bottom, we carefully selected furniture and decor to complement the barn’s architectural features and reflect our clients’ personal style.

The result? A charmless space transformed into a welcoming and stylish home that truly embraces its stunning surroundings. It was a joy working with such enthusiastic clients to bring their vision to life!

We recently had the pleasure of working on a proje

We recently had the pleasure of working on a project we affectionately named “The Tiny Townhouse” nestled in a picturesque Cotswold market town — our mission was to transform it into a cosy retreat for a young family of four.

The family, who spends most of their time working abroad, wanted a comfortable and stylish bolthole in the UK for their holidays. They also planned to use the property as a holiday rental when they weren’t there.

Our clients were keen to keep the renovation costs down, so we focused on making the most of the existing features. We discovered beautiful old pine floorboards hidden beneath the carpets, which we sanded and sealed to create a warm and inviting base for the new decor.

The open-plan ground floor was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to create distinct zones for dining, entertaining, and relaxing. We even squeezed in a small island in the kitchen, which was a must-have for our clients.

We aimed for a calm and neutral color palette throughout the house, using natural materials and textures to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The result is a beautiful and functional space that is perfect for both family holidays and holiday rentals.

We’re thrilled with how “The Tiny Townhouse” turned out, and we hope our clients enjoy many happy memories there.

Listed properties require sympathetic handling and we were fortunate to work with @ashleigh_clarke_architects who dealt with the necessary planning application for the project.

We loved working on this project to modernise the space with the beautiful old cream @aga_cookers to create a functional and stylish kitchen perfect for family living and weekend entertaining.

Every year, we make a pilgrimage to @decorex_international the interior design event that transforms London’s Olympia into a haven of inspiration. This year, the show was bursting with terracotta hues, pattern, and texture.

As always, we timed our visit for the Sunday, when the crowds are slightly thinner, allowing us to savor each stand and truly appreciate the creativity on display. One of our highlights was the new Craftsmakers entrance, which showcased a curated selection of talented artisans and their unique creations.

We were particularly drawn to the warm, earthy color palette that dominated the show. Intricate designs and artisanal craftsmanship were everywhere, but the Lewis and Wood stand truly stole the show. Their collection of wallpapers and fabrics was a masterclass in pattern and texture.

From statement lighting fixtures to bespoke furniture and luxurious textiles, Decorex 2024 had something to inspire every interior design enthusiast. Whether you’re looking for the latest trends or simply seeking a dose of creative inspiration, this event is a must-visit.
